WSB problems inside VM, Ntfs and Disk errors in System Event Log?

Wondering if anyone can help with backup problem I am having?

I have Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter running on two servers, with Failover Cluster Manager setup. I have a 2008 R2 VM guest, and the VHDs are via iSCSI from a HP P4330 storage server. The VM is just used for File Sharing, and I have tried to use Windows Server Backup inside the VM to backup up some of the Volumes (not backing up everything). It has 3x Data VHDs attached to virtual SCSI adaptors.

I have a similar setup on the same VHs, running Exchange 2010, and WSB seems to work fine (doing full system backup).

I managed to get WSM to successfully do a backup during the day, but the scheduled overnight backups keep failing.

I've had a search through forums and Google, but haven't found a fix yet.
