Backup HDD, restore to SSD

Hi. Now i have installed Windows 7 on HDD 1 TB. I want migrate to SSD 256 GB.

I have create full backup (using Windows Backup) and try restory on SSD, and got error: your backup disk is more than a new drive. But backup size is 90 GB.
I can shrink volume, but till 50 % = 500 GB. How i can fixed it and restory on SSD (maybe i need new backup) ? If it is possible with this method.
