"Login Type 4" Failure

I have four Windows Server 2012 R2 servers backing up to shared folders on a Windows Server 2012 R2 host using Windows Backup. Two of the servers are members of the host domain; the other two belong to another domain. The two foreign servers backup on schedule without problems using the identity of the host domain administrator to access their shared folders. The two local servers using the host domain administrator fail generating error 4625 with a login type of 4 which is "batch job rights".

The domain administrator is a member of the BUILTIN\Backup Operators group which has given global "Logon as a batch job" rights as well as "Allow log on locally", "Back up files and directories" and "Logo on as a service" rights assignments. If I look at the local security properties of the servers, the rights are assigned appropriately.

Finally, I can manual start the backups using the scheduled backup parameters without issue.

What am I missing here?

Marc
