Hi everyone,
There is a full backup done for the mission critical server which is not SAN attached and it is confirmed by the backup team too that it is in place through NETBACKUP service , the full backup being taken by them remotely.
But there is also Symantec BESR-Backup Exec System Recovery installed in that server and the baremetal backup is configured to be backed up locally to the D drive of the server itself.
Recently , due to some problem , the server got formatted and reloaded with the Windows server 2008 R2 and BESR is not installed but the backup team has confirmed that they are taking the full backup remotely.
I dont know why they are also taking the BESR backup in the server locally.
Can anybody please explain that is there any difference between the BESR & Full backup?
Thanks & Regards S.Swaminathan Live & let others live!!!
