I have a new 2012 Server and am trying to get Windows Backup to function as designed. I created a job and pointed it to a remote shared folder on another server. The first backup runs just fine, but subsequent backup jobs fail a few minutes after they
start with the error "The specified name is no longer available." Thing is, that is not the problem - there is clearly a bug in the Server 2012 backup since the first backup to an EMPTY remote folder ALWAYS works just fine, it is only the subsequent
backups that fail. Another user reported this problem elsewhere but was never able to resolve the Windows Backup issue, he merely switched to using a 3rd-party backup product.
